Athena Notes is a free newsletter for women, filled with real-world strategies, news, and action steps so you can make money work for you.
In coaching, advising, and mentoring women for more than 20 years, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly around money and influence. It’s time for women to get a lot smarter about money (and the power that accompanies it), and this newsletter is my way of helping to make that happen.
Why Athena?
Athena is the ancient Greek goddess recognized for being the protectress of Athens and warriors (the OG #badass). She is known for being strategic, smart, and just. She is a goddess of good counsel and practical reasoning, as well as a patron of the arts, crafts, and skill. A woman of wisdom, courage, and strength, she seems a good namesake.
Why you?
Whether you’re brand new to managing money or a long-time pro, Athena Notes will give you tips and strategies to get the most out of your money and help you better understand how to navigate the realms of power — at work, at home, or in the world. Don’t be trapped by indecision (or bad decisions) from not knowing the way money works. Money plays a central role in every woman’s life, and Athena Notes wants every woman to own that power, and to increase the influence in her life.
Why me?
I’m an entrepreneur, author, and business school professor. My day job is advising Fortune 100 companies on their innovation programs. In my career I’ve been an artist, curator, professor, director of a university entrepreneurship center, dean of the career center at the nation’s leading art college, author of 5 books on creative self-employment, futuristic rabble-rouser, and more. Athena Notes is my passion project, born out of 20+ years of coaching and mentoring women. I kept seeing women make the same mistakes about money (many that I had made), and realized it was time to gather the best knowledge and strategies for today.
